Walk with us
to the courthouse door.

We have coached 22,000 people through the naturalization interview since 2008. We do it in seven languages, by mail or in person, and we do not stop until you have taken the oath.

It costs nothing. It asks nothing in return. You need only to ask.

How it works.

01

You sign up

Fill out the form below. Tell us your language, your preferred format (in person or by mail), and your approximate test date if you have one. That is all we need to begin.

02

We match you with a coach

Within two weeks, a trained volunteer coach contacts you in your language. In-person sessions are held at local libraries and community centers. By-mail students receive study packets and written feedback by return post.

03

We walk with you

Coaching continues until your interview date. Afterward, we follow up. If you did not pass, we continue without charge or complaint. If you did, we would very much like to hear about it.

What to expect.

A Study Packet

All 100 civics questions, with plain-language explanations. The rights and responsibilities of citizenship. A sample interview script. Mailed to you, or handed to you in person.

Regular Practice Sessions

Weekly or bi-weekly, in your language, for as long as you need. In-person or by mail. Your coach works around your schedule, not the other way around.

Interview Simulation

A full mock interview before your actual date. Recorded if you wish, so you can listen back. Honest feedback given kindly.

A Coach Who Stays

The same coach, start to finish. We do not rotate volunteers or reassign cases. The relationship is part of the program.

No Cost, Ever

Not a sliding scale. Not deferred. Free. The Foundation covers all costs including postage, printing, and volunteer training through private donations.

Post-Ceremony Acknowledgment

When you take the oath, we would like to know. We keep a record — not for data purposes, but because it matters to us, and we think it should matter to you too.

I had been studying alone for a year. My coach found something in the material I had been misreading for months. I passed on the first try. I stood in that courthouse and I was not afraid, because I had been there before, in practice, with her beside me.
